Malaysia Airlines encourages passengers to arrive early during the upcoming holiday period

Sepang, 7 September 2016: Passengers travelling on Malaysia Airlines are encouraged to arrive early for self check-in and printing of baggage tags before proceeding to the baggage drop counters to avoid long queues at the airport during this upcoming holiday season.

Passengers can also choose to check in via web on www.malaysiaairlines.com or MHmobile at flymas.mobi which opens 48 hours till 90 minutes before departure.

Self check-in is mandatory for Economy class passengers travelling on both domestic and international sectors.

First and Business Class passengers who wish to self check-in may do so through any of the options available. There are also dedicated counters at B16 and B17 in Kuala Lumpur International Airport for passengers requiring special assistance.

As volume of passengers is expected to spike due to Hari Raya Haji and school holidays, Malaysia Airlines will be opening additional check-in counters at row G for selected flights during peak hours from 6am to 930am. Passengers are strongly advised to head to the boarding gates immediately as congestion is also expected at Immigration counters and the aero-trains.

Passengers are to ensure that they do not pack any dangerous goods in their check-in luggage such as lithium batteries, e-cigarettes and power banks.

For more information, customers can visit Malaysia Airlines’ website at www.malaysiaairlines.com.

*For the time being, passengers travelling to Dhaka and Kathmandu will need to check in at dedicated counters on row A17 and A18 while group check-in at L16, L17 and L18.
